So you have your insert but you're not sure what to do with it? You're in the right place.
First of all, thank you for choosing to reuse your vessel. Prepping your jar and installing the new refill only takes minutes of effort, but it helps our planet immensely. Sustainability looks good on you.
01: Clean your jar
Pour boiling water into the vessel. As it cools the wax will float to the top.
Discard the wax and pour out the water.

Remove the wicks from the bottom of the vessel. These should come off with your fingers, but you can also use a butter knife to gently pry them off.

You can stop here, dry the vessel, and move to adding your insert. Or, you can go ahead and wash and rinse the vessel with dish soap. It's up to you!
02: install the new insert
You've done the hard work. Now for the easy part.
Attach the included stickies to the base of the wicks by turning the insert upside down.
Note: this is optional. For easier cleaning next time, do not use the provided stickies. If not attached, the wicks may move slighty in the last few hours of burning, but you'll still get a full burn.
